It is important for your overall well-being to maintain your blood pressure levels within a certain range. This can be achieved through diet, exercise, lifestyle and in some cases, medication.It is well worth taking a great interest in your blood pressure readings as keeping them within a good range can go a long way to reducing your chance of  developing certain serious health problems.

The Mayo Clinic state that  a good blood pressure range for adult women over 20 is from about 90 to 119 for the systolic reading and about 60 to 79 for the diastolic reading. They also say that women going through the menopause who employ hormonal therapy could be at a greater risk of high blood pressure readings than women  who do not use that therapy.

As you have probably noticed whenever you go for a medical checkup your blood pressure is usually taken, as the readings are used as an indicator to the state of your general health
